Rep. Herseth Sandlin (D-SD) is the youngest woman member of the House, and the first woman elected to Congress from South Dakota. She won the at-large seat in a special election in 2004. At Georgetown, Stephanie was president of the College Democrats and Secretary for the College Democrats of America. She ran for CDA national president in 1991. Since then, Stephanie has stayed committed to working with College Democrats to this day.
