Our Latest Round of Grants
College Dems Alumni gave out its most recent grants to four schools to support health care initiatives on campus. Florida International University, Georgetown University, University of Wyoming, and Austin Peay were able to organize events and get students on campus aware of and supportive of Democratic initiatives to bring about health care reform.
The President of the Austin Peay University College Democrats was interview in the Clarksville Online newspaper:
Andrew Lewis, President of the Austin Peay College Democrats, had this to say upon being notified of the award: “To be selected for this grant by national election is truly an honor, not just for our chapter, but for Austin Peay State University and the great state of Tennessee. As college students, we look to build on this accolade by continuing to lead the charge for progressive health care reform.”
CDAAA is proud to be a part of such an important movement to reform health care and is proud of the work being done by young Democrats across the country.
